Thursday October 26th, marked the 5th Annual Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame Ceremony. Located right in the heart of Atlanta at 443 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW.(Outside Mercedes Benz stadium).Celebrating 50 years of Hip Hop The Big Break Magazine team went down to the city that never sleeps to check out the Induction Ceremony.

With its A-List speaker talent (hello, Dj Greg Street, Catherine Brewton, and Erica Thomas) full marching band, and shockingly good care free weather; the induction ceremony fed our spirits and provided good, quality time with Marvin Sapp, Dallas Austin , Jermaine Dupri, and the friends and family of Mahalia Jackson, Busta Rhymes, and Lil Wayne.

The Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame is a joint initiative by the Black American Music Association, a 501(c)(6) professional membership trade organization, and Georgia Entertainment Caucus (GEC), a 501(c)(3) organization. Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, Mahalia Jackson, Dallas Austin, Jermaine Dupri, and Marvin Sapp all have been inducted into the walk of fame on MLk to remain until the end of time. With both a national and international appeal, the BMEWOF honored Dallas Austin and Jermaine Dupri  with their own day in Fulton county (October 26th) both  iconic individuals with organizations that have impacted Atlanta Black culture and communities alongside those who continue to lead us into the future.

We clapped  and cheered with over 200 brilliant media personalities, music professionals, family, friends, event organizers, promoters, celebrities, and creatives from across the country — even some that traveled internationally to attend the induction ceremony and honor theses special men and women of entertainment.

Even after the ceremony concluded and the street started clearing up, the community hummed as a few dozen media representatives networked and really sat in the spirit of such good energy.
